CSAB Showcases ASEAN Spirit at ‘NAM-EATS’ Dip & Sauce and Culinary Tour Guiding Challenges

CSAB proudly showcased the rich culinary heritage and vibrant culture of Vietnam during the NAM-EATS: Flavors of Southeast Asia Competition, reaffirming CSAB’s commitment to internationalization, experiential learning, and the promotion of ASEAN cultural appreciation.

Representing Vietnam, CSAB’s Hospitality Management and Tourism Management students demonstrated their creativity, technical competence, and cultural storytelling through authentic Vietnamese sauce-making and culinary tour guiding. The CSAB delegation earned a Certificate of Participation in the Flavors in a Bowl: ASEAN Dip & Sauce Challenge, represented by Chasen C. Villaflor (HM3A), Bryan E. Sarona (HM1A), and Renan Benedict A. Gensaya (HM4A). Meanwhile, Bea Grace B. Estrera (TM3A) secured the 2nd Runner-Up award in the ASEAN Food Trails: Culinary Tour Guiding Challenge, showcasing her excellence in promoting Vietnam’s culinary tourism.

Adding color and vibrancy to the festival, CSAB proudly fielded the largest student delegation clad in traditional ASEAN attire, reflecting CSAB’s strong commitment to fostering regional identity, intercultural understanding, and ASEAN solidarity.

The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Louie Pagdato, MBA, CMMS, Associate Dean of the College of Accountancy, Business Education and Computer Studies (CABECS); Ms. Mary Grace Gonzales, MITHM, Program Head for BS Tourism Management; Mr. Reymark Barbas, MSHM, Program Head for BS Hospitality Management; together with the faculty members whose guidance and unwavering support contributed to the students’ meaningful participation in the event.
