From examining pharmaceutical microorganisms to simulating real-world hospital practice, Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod strengthens its commitment to producing competent, practice-ready pharmacy professionals through its specialized laboratory and clinical simulation facilities.
The Pharmaceutical Biological Sciences Laboratory provides students with hands-on learning experiences in pharmaceutical microbiology and parasitology, particularly in the microbiological testing and quality assessment of pharmaceutical products. Equipped with a Class II Type A2 Biosafety Cabinet and a binocular microscope with a digital camera, the facility supports the development of essential laboratory techniques and scientific competencies.
Complementing this facility is the Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy Simulation Laboratory, where Pharmacy students apply their knowledge in simulated healthcare settings. Through training in hospital pharmacy dispensing, compounding, and bedside clinical pharmacy practice, future Augustinian pharmacists gain practical experience in essential pharmacy services and patient-centered care.
Together, these upgraded pharmacy facilities bridge scientific knowledge and professional application, enabling the Augustinian learners to develop the technical precision, clinical competence, and critical thinking demanded by modern pharmacy practice.
Through continued investment in experiential learning and specialized training environments, CSAB reinforces its commitment to preparing future pharmacists who are not only knowledgeable in their field but also equipped to contribute meaningfully to healthcare and patient well-being.
Viva, Augustinian Pharmacists!
Viva, San Agustin!!!
