The prestigious award was received by School President Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, O.S.A., together with Dr. Noeda M. Madamesila, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Engagement (VPRIE), in recognition of the institution’s sustained commitment to cultivating a vibrant research culture and advancing scholarly excellence.
The recognition honors higher education institutions that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to research excellence and compliance with the provisions of CHED Memorandum Order No. 52, series of 2016, entitled “Pathways to Equity, Relevance, and Advancement in Research, Innovation, and Extension in Philippine Higher Education.” It likewise acknowledges institutions that consistently produce quality research publications contributing to significant developments in priority disciplines at both the national and international levels.
This achievement reflects CSA-B’s continuous efforts to strengthen its research ecosystem through faculty and student research initiatives, capacity-building programs, ethical research practices, collaborative partnerships, and increased publication in reputable scholarly journals. Guided by its Augustinian values and institutional vision, the College has fostered an environment where research serves as a catalyst for innovation, evidence-based decision-making, and community transformation.
The award also recognizes the strategic leadership of the Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Engagement (OVPRIE), whose initiatives have significantly contributed to enhancing research productivity, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and expanding the institution’s local and international research engagements.
Dr. Noeda M. Madamesila emphasized that the recognition is a reflection of the institution’s shared commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
“This recognition affirms Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod’s unwavering commitment to advancing research that is relevant, impactful, and responsive to the needs of society. It inspires us to further strengthen our culture of inquiry, innovation, and collaboration as we pursue research that transforms lives and contributes to sustainable development.”
The CHED Recognition for Excellence in Research stands as a testament to CSA-B’s dedication to fostering a culture of innovation, scholarship, and service. As the institution continues its journey toward becoming a globally recognized Augustinian center for research and innovation, this achievement serves as both a celebration of its accomplishments and an inspiration to pursue even greater heights in academic and research excellence.
