Discover your Purpose

Career opportunities in Chemistry continue to grow in the Philippines and abroad, with hundreds of job openings in industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, quality assurance, environmental testing, food and beverage, and research and development. According to JobStreet Philippines (2026) and Indeed Philippines (2026), these roles offer competitive starting salaries, reflecting the strong demand for chemistry professionals across multiple sectors.

Globally, the field remains equally promising, with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (2023) projecting a 6% employment growth for chemists by 2032, or about 7,000 job openings annually in the United States. This steady demand highlights the vital role of chemistry in science, industry, and innovation.

In the Philippines, professional chemistry practice is regulated by Republic Act No. 10657 (Chemistry Profession Act), which requires licensure for professional practice—underscoring the importance and high value of becoming a licensed chemist.
