VIVA SAN AGUSTIN! Every opportunity to learn is a chance to become a better teacher and make a greater difference in the lives of students.
With this commitment, two Basic Education Department teachers from CSAB – Ms. Myrna Claro and Ms. Camille Ballesteros – represented the school in the Educational and Cultural Heritage Trip to Singapore held on July 22–24, 2026.
One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Singapore Ministry of Education, where they learned about the country’s education system and how it has grown over the years. Through interactive exhibits and educational displays, they gained valuable ideas about quality teaching, student-centered learning, and the importance of continuous improvement – educational practices that have helped make Singapore one of the world’s leading education systems.
The two Augustinian teachers also visited the headquarters of Marshall Cavendish Education, the publisher of the Singapore Math textbooks used by the CSAB Basic Education Department. The visit gave them a better understanding of the teaching methods behind Singapore Math and how it helps students build strong thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
At CSAB, learning goes beyond the classroom. By combining the Singapore Math approach with the DepEd curriculum, CSAB continues to strengthen its Mathematics program and provide students with meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of mathematics.
When teachers continue to learn, students benefit the most. Through experiences like these, CSAB remains committed to providing quality education and preparing learners for a changing world.
Viva, Augustinian Educators!
