The School recognizes the right of students to organize a student government which can legislate and decide on matters according to its approved constitution in line with the Vision-Mission Statement and Policies of the school.
The Student Government (SG) is a sovereign student organization whose powers and authority emanate from the studentry. It is tasked with the solemn responsibility of working in harmony with the faculty and administration for the good of the School and the welfare of the students. It should develop responsible leadership among students and instill in them consciousness of their duties and responsibilities in community building both in school and in society.
The Student Government is the only legitimate representative of the student body to the administration and the faculty in the tertiary level. It is recognized by the virtue of its Constitution and By-Laws and is directly under the general supervision of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Welfare. The Departmental Councils are directly under their respective College Deans.
The Augustinian Leadership Summit (ALS) is an annual formation program organized by the Co-Curricular Office under the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Welfare (VPSAW). The summit is designed to empower student leaders of Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod to embrace service-oriented leadership rooted in Augustinian compassion.
As a vital cornerstone of the institution’s leadership development framework, the summit ensures that the next generation of leaders is not only equipped with practical administrative skills but also grounded in robust ethical decision-making and a heightened sense of social responsibility. By fostering a deeper commitment to their peers and the broader community, the ALS bridges the gap between student governance and meaningful service.
The summit gathers campus organization officers for an intensive, in-house formation experience at the onset of every academic year. Participants are fully immersed in a curated series of workshops and plenary sessions led by a diverse panel of speakers, all aimed at cultivating the heart and mind of a true Augustinian leader.
