Two Basic Education teachers from Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod represented the school in the Educational and Cultural Heritage Trip to Singapore held on July 22–24, 2026.
As part of the program, the delegates visited the Singapore Ministry of Education, where they gained valuable insights into the country’s education system. The visit highlighted the evolution of Singapore’s educational landscape and provided participants with the opportunity to explore various exhibits and artifacts showcasing its educational journey and best practices.
The delegation also visited the headquarters of Marshall Cavendish Education, the publisher of the Singapore Math textbooks currently used by Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod’s Basic Education students. The visit offered a deeper understanding of the philosophy and pedagogy behind the Singapore Math approach.
Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod continues to strengthen its Mathematics program by adapting the Singapore Math curriculum in alignment with the Department of Education’s curriculum. The visit provided firsthand exposure to home healthcare operations, care coordination, and telehealth-enabled management. As a direct extension of the landmark collaborative partnership established last year—making Premium Care USA CSA-Bacolod’s official partner in telehealth learning and the first initiative of its kind in the Negros Region—this visit aims to strengthen nursing education, faculty development, and clinical leadership.
Through this ongoing collaboration, both institutions reinforce their joint commitment to bridging academic theory with real-world healthcare practice and driving global educational innovation.
CSAB continues to expand its global footprint through a strategic partnership visit to National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan last June 9, 2026.
Leading the delegation was School President Fr. Jose Rene Delariarte, OSA, accompanied by academic administrators and representatives committed to advancing the institution’s internationalization agenda.
Building upon the Memorandum of Understanding established in 2023 between the Pharmacy Programs of CSAB and NCKU, discussions focused on expanding cooperation in academic programs, research initiatives, faculty development, student mobility, and other internationalization efforts that will benefit both institutions.
The visit comes at a time when CSAB’s internationalization initiatives have gained regional recognition. Recently, CHEDRO-NIR conferred upon the College the Award of Excellence in Internationalization, acknowledging its strong global partnerships, collaborative networks, and sustained efforts to provide international opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. The exploratory meetings also opened possibilities for future joint projects and programs that will further enrich the educational experiences of Augustinian learners and educators while strengthening CSAB’s presence in the international academic community.

CSAB proudly announces its official partnership with Classmate LTD, Japan, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to internationalization and global learning opportunities for the Augustinian community last June 5, 2026.
Building on this milestone, CSAB Grade School students have already engaged in a successful online interaction with Japanese grade school students, paving the way for even deeper cross-cultural connections ahead.
Through this partnership, CSAB will participate in a series of intercultural interaction initiatives designed to foster meaningful connections, deepen cultural understanding, and develop global competencies among students and educators.
Basic Education students will continue to participate in interactive online exchanges and cultural learning activities with their counterparts in Japan, promoting cross-cultural appreciation and international friendship.
In addition, CSAB Teacher Education students will gain valuable exposure to international online teaching environments, enabling them to strengthen their pedagogical skills and prepare for the demands of an increasingly interconnected and globalized educational landscape.

March 24, 2026, marked a historic turning point for Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod as it officially joined an elite circle of academic institutions during a prestigious ceremony held at One Space Ayala, Makati. In a demonstration of academic excellence and international vision, CSAB was inducted as one of only 22 selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country as part of the Consortium for Study Abroad in the Philippines (CSAP).
This exclusive partnership, spearheaded by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), represents a shared commitment to strengthening global linkages and advancing the enduring educational partnership between the Philippines and the United States. By being part of this select group of 22 institutions, CSAB now opens its doors to host US Students, Researchers, and Specialists from the U.S., while providing a streamlined pathway for our own community to engage in world-class study abroad opportunities.

Underscoring its commitment to expanding global higher education pathways, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSAB) actively participated in the landmark 1st CHED XVIII International Relations Officers (IRO) Visayas Congress. The event took place from June 30 to July 1, 2026, at the scenic campus of Siquijor State College in Siquijor.

The foundational congress, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), brought together international relation officers and academic leaders from higher education institutions (HEIs) across the Visayas regions.
The primary objective of the summit was to synergize regional internationalization efforts, align institutional goals with CHED’s current ACHIEVE agenda, and establish stronger cross-border partnerships that benefit both students and faculty members.
Participating in this inaugural Visayas Congress equips CSAB with updated national insights and localized best practices. The knowledge gained ensures that the college continues to strengthen its international alliances, elevating the value of an Augustinian education onto the global stage.
This partnership supports Taiwan-Philippines International Industrial Talents Education Special program (INTENSE Program), a Taiwanese government-backed initiative that combines advanced academic studies, industry immersion, internships, and employment opportunities.

The GCED Cooperation Centre Philippines, in partnership with Colegio San Agustin Bacolod successfully conducted the WSA in GCED Workshop Caravan held on May 4–6, 2026. The initiative brought together educators in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental for collaborative learning sessions and writeshops aimed at strengthening the integration of Global Citizenship Education and the Whole School Approach, resulting in context-responsive action plans and reinforced institutional commitment to inclusive, transformative education.

Colegio San Agustin Bacolod proudly represented its commitment to Global Citizenship Education (GCED) at the Global Citizenship Summit held at the Golden Lion Hotel, Pangasinan State University last July 25, 2025. Ms. Donah Banaticla, the External Relations and International Linkages Officer presented the institution’s best practices, distinguishing CSAB as the sole private school invited to showcase its initiatives.
Due to challenging weather conditions, including flight cancellations and widespread floods in Luzon, CSAB adapted to the circumstances and delivered its presentation virtually, ensuring that valuable insights reached the summit despite the logistical hurdles.
The GCC Regional Hubs Summit 2025, themed “Promoting Cultures, Connecting Minds, Transforming Futures: Advancing GCED through Whole School Approach,” served as a vital platform for educators, policymakers, youth leaders, and advocates. The summit aimed to reimagine education through a holistic lens, emphasizing the Whole School Approach (WSA). This comprehensive strategy ensures that GCED transcends traditional classroom instruction, becoming deeply integrated into the entire school culture, leadership, policies, and community engagement.
The landmark international event, centered on the theme “Breaking Barriers, Empowering Change,” was co-hosted by Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), Silliman University (SU), St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD), and Siquijor State College. Key plenary sessions were gathered at Silliman University’s iconic Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium in Dumaguete City.
The primary objective of the CSAB delegation was to deep-dive into the league’s progressive frameworks and learn more about the prestigious World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
