CSAB Teachers Gain Insights from Singapore's World- Class Education System

Two Basic Education teachers from Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod represented the school in the Educational and Cultural Heritage Trip to Singapore held on July 22–24, 2026.

As part of the program, the delegates visited the Singapore Ministry of Education, where they gained valuable insights into the country’s education system. The visit highlighted the evolution of Singapore’s educational landscape and provided participants with the opportunity to explore various exhibits and artifacts showcasing its educational journey and best practices.

The delegation also visited the headquarters of Marshall Cavendish Education, the publisher of the Singapore Math textbooks currently used by Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod’s Basic Education students. The visit offered a deeper understanding of the philosophy and pedagogy behind the Singapore Math approach.

Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod continues to strengthen its Mathematics program by adapting the Singapore Math curriculum in alignment with the Department of Education’s curriculum. This initiative aims to provide learners with a deeper, more meaningful, and conceptually grounded mathematics education.

Premium Care USA Welcomes CSA-Bacolod Reresentatives For Follow-Up Immersion Visit In Virginia And Maryland

FAIRFAX, VA / ROCKVILLE, MD (June 11, 2026) — Highlighting an active international partnership and collaboration, Premium Care USA recently welcomed Ms. Lourdes Ivaliz Iledan, MN, RN, representing Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod (CSA-Bacolod), alongside Dr. Sidney Lawrence Iledan, for an observation and immersion visit at its offices in Virginia and Maryland.

The visit provided firsthand exposure to home healthcare operations, care coordination, and telehealth-enabled management. As a direct extension of the landmark collaborative partnership established last year—making Premium Care USA CSA-Bacolod’s official partner in telehealth learning and the first initiative of its kind in the Negros Region—this visit aims to strengthen nursing education, faculty development, and clinical leadership.

Through this ongoing collaboration, both institutions reinforce their joint commitment to bridging academic theory with real-world healthcare practice and driving global educational innovation.

CSAB explores expanded collaboration with National Cheng Kung University

CSAB continues to expand its global footprint through a strategic partnership visit to National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan last June 9, 2026.

Leading the delegation was School President Fr. Jose Rene Delariarte, OSA, accompanied by academic administrators and representatives committed to advancing the institution’s internationalization agenda.

Building upon the Memorandum of Understanding established in 2023 between the Pharmacy Programs of CSAB and NCKU, discussions focused on expanding cooperation in academic programs, research initiatives, faculty development, student mobility, and other internationalization efforts that will benefit both institutions.

The visit comes at a time when CSAB’s internationalization initiatives have gained regional recognition. Recently, CHEDRO-NIR conferred upon the College the Award of Excellence in Internationalization, acknowledging its strong global partnerships, collaborative networks, and sustained efforts to provide international opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. The exploratory meetings also opened possibilities for future joint projects and programs that will further enrich the educational experiences of Augustinian learners and educators while strengthening CSAB’s presence in the international academic community.

Through meaningful international partnerships, CSAB remains steadfast in its mission of fostering excellence, innovation, and global citizenship—one collaboration at a time.

Connecting Augustinians to the World: CSAB Partners with Classmate LTD, Japan

CSAB proudly announces its official partnership with Classmate LTD, Japan, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s commitment to internationalization and global learning opportunities for the Augustinian community last June 5, 2026.

Building on this milestone, CSAB Grade School students have already engaged in a successful online interaction with Japanese grade school students, paving the way for even deeper cross-cultural connections ahead.

Through this partnership, CSAB will participate in a series of intercultural interaction initiatives designed to foster meaningful connections, deepen cultural understanding, and develop global competencies among students and educators.

Basic Education students will continue to participate in interactive online exchanges and cultural learning activities with their counterparts in Japan, promoting cross-cultural appreciation and international friendship.

In addition,  CSAB Teacher Education students will gain valuable exposure to international online teaching environments, enabling them to strengthen their pedagogical skills and prepare for the demands of an increasingly interconnected and globalized educational landscape.

By connecting learners and future educators across cultures, CSAB continues to nurture globally minded Augustinians who are equipped to thrive in the international community. Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod and Asia Festival Association Reaffirm Partnership to Expand Global Opportunities in the Arts

BACOLOD CITY — Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B) recently hosted a high-level delegation from the South Korea-based Asia Festival Association (AFA) to solidify plans for ongoing cultural and academic collaboration last April 14, 2026.

CSA-B President Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, led the reception alongside Ms. Sandra Sycip, AFA Executive Committee Member and former Bacolod City Tourism Officer. They welcomed a distinguished group of Korean cultural leaders headed by AFA President Dr. Jungwhan Kim, including:

  • Dr. Eun-sun Seo (Marketing Director, Gwangju Chungjang Festival)

Beyond scholarships, the active partnership directly benefits CSA-B’s Bachelor of Culture and the Arts program by fostering continuous exchange initiatives. These efforts ensure Augustinian performing artists gain international exposure and align with global standards of artistic excellence.

CSAB Officially Joins the Elite Network of the Consortium for Study Abroad in the Philippines

March 24, 2026, marked a historic turning point for Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod as it officially joined an elite circle of academic institutions during a prestigious ceremony held at One Space Ayala, Makati. In a demonstration of academic excellence and international vision, CSAB was inducted as one of only 22 selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country as part of the Consortium for Study Abroad in the Philippines (CSAP).

This exclusive partnership, spearheaded by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), represents a shared commitment to strengthening global linkages and advancing the enduring educational partnership between the Philippines and the United States. By being part of this select group of 22 institutions, CSAB now opens its doors to host US Students, Researchers, and Specialists from the U.S., while providing a streamlined pathway for our own community to engage in world-class study abroad opportunities.

The CSAB delegation was led by our School President, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, who was joined by Randdie P. Cuelo, EdD (Vice President for Academics), Noeda M. Madamesila, PhD (Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Engagement), and Donah Banaticla, MAEd (External Relations and International Linkages Officer). Their presence underscored the institution’s dedication to placing the Augustinian community at the forefront of global education.

The afternoon was filled with inspiring messages from key leaders in the field, including Dr. Shirley Agrupis, Commission on Higher Education Secretary; Julio Amador III, PAEF Executive Director; Jessica Simon, U.S. Embassy Counselor for Public Affairs; and Christine Joy Cari, Department of Tourism Assistant Secretary. Their words highlighted the importance of this new network in shaping the future of international academic exchange.

Adding to the evening’s prestige, the event also commemorated the 78th Anniversary of Fulbright Philippines. The celebration was graced by distinguished Guests of Honor, including First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and U.S. Embassy Charge d’ Affaires Y. Robert Ewing, who both joined the academic community in celebrating nearly eight decades of intellectual and cultural exchange.

As one of the few selected partners in this nationwide initiative, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod continues to break barriers, ensuring that our students and faculty are not just spectators, but active participants in the global academic arena.

Teachmint Technologies Partners with CSA-Bacolod for "Think AI" International Webinar Series

BACOLOD CITY — Teachmint Technologies Inc. has joined forces with Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-Bacolod) to launch the Think AI International Webinar Series, running every Friday throughout July 2026.

Featuring a distinguished panel of international speakers alongside expert educators from CSA-Bacolod, the series brings dynamic global perspectives to the future of education. Participants will discover practical AI tools that empower teachers to teach smarter and help students optimize their learning experience.

Beyond practical applications, this weekly international series places a strong focus on promoting the responsible and ethical use of AI, guiding the academic community toward innovative, principled technology integration in the classroom.

CSAB Furthers Global Ties at 1st CHED XVIII International Relations Officers Visayas Congress

Underscoring its commitment to expanding global higher education pathways, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSAB) actively participated in the landmark 1st CHED XVIII International Relations Officers (IRO) Visayas Congress. The event took place from June 30 to July 1, 2026, at the scenic campus of Siquijor State College in Siquijor.

Representing the institution was Mrs. Donah Banaticla, CSAB’s External Relations, Internationalization, and Linkages Officer.

The foundational congress, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), brought together international relation officers and academic leaders from higher education institutions (HEIs) across the Visayas regions.

The primary objective of the summit was to synergize regional internationalization efforts, align institutional goals with CHED’s current ACHIEVE agenda, and establish stronger cross-border partnerships that benefit both students and faculty members.

Participating in this inaugural Visayas Congress equips CSAB with updated national insights and localized best practices. The knowledge gained ensures that the college continues to strengthen its international alliances, elevating the value of an Augustinian education onto the global stage.

CSAB forged partnership with Cheng Shiu University further expanding international opportunities for its students and alumni.

This partnership supports Taiwan-Philippines International Industrial Talents Education Special program (INTENSE Program), a Taiwanese government-backed initiative that combines advanced academic studies, industry immersion, internships, and employment opportunities.

CSAB Showcases Innovation and Inclusivity at Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Conference in Taiwan

Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSAB) proudly represented the institution at the prestigious Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Conference, held from May 5-7, 2026, and hosted by National Chi Nan University in Taiwan.

During the event, CSAB delegates shared the institution’s impactful WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation) case studies across several key breakaway sessions, highlighting the college’s commitment to global educational standards.

The delegation featured key presentations from CSAB’s academic leaders:

CSAB joins the Hanseatic League of Universities and presented two of their WURI Cases in the International Level.

CSAB strengthened its internationalization efforts after forging a formal partnership through a MOU with National Chi Nan University during the 2026 HLU Annual Conference and WURI Global Rankings Ceremony held in Taiwan on May 5–7,2026.

The institution also participated in a Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMOU) involving 67 universities worldwide, further expanding its global academic network and collaborative opportunities in higher education.

In addition, CSAB reinforced its long-standing partnership with National Cheng Kung University, with which it has maintained academic cooperation since 2023, underscoring its continued commitment to international collaboration, research engagement, and academic excellence.

It is noteworthy that CSAB is a recipient of the CHEDRO-NIR Award of Excellence in Internationalization Initiatives during the first CHED-NIR Regional Quality Awards, affirming the institution’s successful efforts in building meaningful academic partnerships beyond the Philippines.

The initiative brought together educators in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental  for collaborative learning sessions and writeshops aimed at strengthening the integration of Global Citizenship Education and the Whole School Approach, resulting in context-responsive action plans and reinforced institutional commitment to inclusive, transformative education.

CSAB Joins Global Innovators at WURI Global Conference 2025 in South Korea

Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSAB) marked another significant milestone toward international academic recognition as its administrators and academic leaders participated in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Global Conference. The prestigious event was hosted by Tongmyong University in the vibrant coastal city of Busan, South Korea, from September 24–26, 2025.

The conference brought together higher education leaders, cutting-edge researchers, and policymakers from around the globe to discuss borderless collaboration and real-world educational impact.

Representing the Augustinian community at this landmark global gathering were:

Bridging Barriers: CSAB Shares Global Citizenship Best Practices at GCC Summit 2025

Colegio San Agustin Bacolod proudly represented its commitment to Global Citizenship Education (GCED) at the Global Citizenship Summit held at the Golden Lion Hotel, Pangasinan State University last July 25, 2025. Ms. Donah Banaticla, the External Relations and International Linkages Officer presented the institution’s best practices, distinguishing CSAB as the sole private school invited to showcase its initiatives.

Due to challenging weather conditions, including flight cancellations and widespread floods in Luzon, CSAB adapted to the circumstances and delivered its presentation virtually, ensuring that valuable insights reached the summit despite the logistical hurdles.

The GCC Regional Hubs Summit 2025, themed “Promoting Cultures, Connecting Minds, Transforming Futures: Advancing GCED through Whole School Approach,” served as a vital platform for educators, policymakers, youth leaders, and advocates. The summit aimed to reimagine education through a holistic lens, emphasizing the Whole School Approach (WSA). This comprehensive strategy ensures that GCED transcends traditional classroom instruction, becoming deeply integrated into the entire school culture, leadership, policies, and community engagement.

Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSAB) took a significant step toward expanding its global academic footprint by sending a delegation to attend the 5th Annual Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU), held from July 9–11, 2025

The landmark international event, centered on the theme “Breaking Barriers, Empowering Change,” was co-hosted by Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), Silliman University (SU), St. Paul University Dumaguete (SPUD), and Siquijor State College. Key plenary sessions were gathered at Silliman University’s iconic Claire Isabel McGill Luce Auditorium in Dumaguete City.

The primary objective of the CSAB delegation was to deep-dive into the league’s progressive frameworks and learn more about the prestigious World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

During the three-day conference, international university presidents, scholars, and change-makers discussed critical topics such as sustainability, student mobility, and educational transformation. CSAB delegates actively engaged in key breakout sessions.

Attending the 2025 conference allowed CSAB to gain crucial insights into how top-tier universities design and implement globally recognized, innovative programs.
