Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA was officially declared as the 17th president of Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod during the Installation of the New President Ceremony held at the CSA-B Gymnasium last August 15.
The ceremony was graced by Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Batayola, OSA, the Prior Provincial of the Augustinian Province of Sto. Nino De Cebu – Philippines and Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, the outgoing president of Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod. The academic senate of the school together with the presidents of various academic institutions and representatives from the Department of Education and Commission on Higher Education also attended the ceremony.
After the para liturgy, Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA led the turnover of responsibility to the new president, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte. The traditional passing of the school medallion and school mace marked the turnover of responsibility to the latter.
Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, the 16th president of the institution, expressed his words of gratitude and thanks to the Augustinian community through a heartwarming message. Rev. Fr. Dizon is the incoming president of the University of San Agustin – Iloilo for A.Y. 2024-2025.
Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA revealed his gratitude to the whole Augustinian community. He emphasized his humble acceptance of the position and his high hopes for the academic year to be geared in humility and faith.
The ceremony ended with a recessional and singing of the CSA-B marching song.
