On March 16, Victorias Milling Company (VMC) warmly welcomed top graduating students from the Accountancy program to their UNLEASH program, showcasing the ‘sweeter’ career opportunities at one of the country’s largest sugar producers.
The exclusive tour of VMC’s mill site highlighted the heart of the company’s operations, allowing students to see the sugarcane-to-sugar process up close the VMC way. Additionally, students had the opportunity to connect with two Augustinian Chemical Engineers in management training who led the tour.
Furthermore, the tour provided students with a glimpse into the modern workplace amenities at the VMC, such as the gym and leisure areas available for employees during and after work hours.
The one-day program culminated with students having one-on-one job interviews with Head of the Internal Audit and the Head of the Sales and Purchasing. This provided them with valuable insights into careers at VMC.
UNLEASH is the VMC’s initiative to connect with the province’s top engineering and accountancy graduates.
College of Engineering graduating students will participate in the same program in April.
