Two cybersecurity advocates and experts delivered insightful presentations on critical issues in the digital world. Engr. Allan Paculan shed light on the Social Engineering tactics, particularly focusing on Phishing. He discussed how phishing remains one of the most pervasive threats in the cyber world.
On the other hand, Mr. Kurt Guirnela turned the audience’s attention to the realm of education. He emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in schools, considering the growing integration of technology in educational frameworks. Not only did he discuss the need for secure digital infrastructures to protect students’ data, but he also highlighted the crucial role that employees play.
Both talks highlighted the main message.: in our increasingly digital age, cybersecurity is not just a technical requirement but a societal imperative and a shared responsibility”.
