#CSABTransition – In a significant event celebrating the Augustinian tradition of change and growth, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod held a transition ceremony last June 1, 2024, marking the handover of leadership from outgoing School President Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, to incoming School President Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA.
For Fr. Dizon, “one remarkable aspect of Augustinian Religious Life is the constant transition and the beautiful transformation that accompanies it.” He views “each change of assignment as a moment of gratitude and growth.”
To facilitate the transition, the Office of the President (OTP) prepared and crafted a consolidated “Transition Plan,” outlining the school’s achievements, strategic priorities and initiatives, financial updates, and future projects that will shape CSAB’s direction in the years ahead.
Additionally, the final Corporation and Board of Trustees Meeting for the outgoing friar-administrators was held on June 15, 2024, marking the end of their term. Effective July 1, 2024, the new set of friar-administrators for CSAB will include Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, as the incoming President, Fr. Wilson A. Capellan, OSA, as the local prior of the community, Fr. Ian Geoffrey D. Kasilag, OSA, Fr. Elizer R. Pelingo, OSA, and Fr. Ian V. Ragodon, OSA, while the following friar-administrators will continue their service and administration with CSAB: Fr. Raymund Edsel T. Alcayaga, OSA, Fr. Isabelo A. Carloman, Jr., OSA, Fr. Jesus M. Daño, OSA, and Fr. Manuel M. Vergara, OSA.
The CSAB community extends its profound gratitude to Fr. Dizon and the outgoing friar-administrators for their visionary leadership, which guided the school through a critical period during the pandemic and propelled it to new heights. As CSAB welcomes Fr. Delariarte, the community offers its prayers, collective support, and commitment to his leadership, confident that he will lead the community to even greater achievements.
