The Australian Filipino Augustinian Solidarity (AFAS) delegates arrived last September 18, 2024 at Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod for their solidarity visit.
The AFAS delegates were welcomed by the Kagayon Dance Troupe and Kamighon Band through a Masskara Festival showcase along with the Student Buddies, who were mainly composed of student leaders and working scholars.
Rev. Fr. Isabelo A. Carloman Jr., OSA, Vice President for Student Affairs expressed his words of inspiration followed by a heartwarming message by Rev. Fr. Saldie Resolado, OSA, AFAS Coordinator of Villanova College of Brisbane, Australia. The welcoming ceremony was also graced by Rev. Fr. Raymundo Edsel Alcayaga, OSA and Rev. Fr. Jesper Bermudez, OSA and was spearheaded by the CSA-B Community Engagement Program Office.
The AFAS is a partnership program among Augustinian communities, composed of Villanova College Brisbane, Australia, Basilica del Sto. Niño Cebu, and Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod. With the aim of promoting solidarity and friendship among Augustinian schools, the AFAS 2024 delegates shall be exposed to cultural dialogues and be able to experience the Filipino life in general.
The AFAS delegates shall venture with their visit until September 20, 2024.
