The Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) has honored Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSAB) as a recipient of the 2024 Undergraduate Thesis Grant in Natural Products.
As one of only three institutions in Region VI to receive this prestigious grant – alongside its brother school, the University of San Agustin, and UP Visayas – CSAB proudly demonstrates its commitment to research excellence. This recognition highlights CSAB’s ability to meet national standards of scientific rigor and underscores the region’s potential to make significant contributions to health and scientific research in the country.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our exceptional student-researchers (Lucky John Java, Ivan Joshua Carmona, Andrei Zynth Magallanes, Claire Occeña, and Anthony Michael Villanueva), and their dedicated adviser, Ms. Rheene Rose Bajon, for bringing pride and honor to CSAB. Their achievement exemplifies the school’s culture of academic excellence and commitment to quality education.
The entire Augustinian community stands behind our researchers as they embark on this remarkable journey, contributing invaluable insights to the field of natural products. Soar higher, Augustinians!!!
