The CSA-B Kanlaon Theater Guild (KTG) will represent the Philippines in Chiang Mai, Thailand for the Asian Youth Theater Festival with the theme “Changing Climate” to open this November 19-24, 2024 at Chiang Mai College of Dramatic Arts.
The team is led by Mr. Rodolfo “Rudy” Reveche Director of Kinaadman Center for Culture and the Arts together with Kanlaon Theater Guild’s Artistic Director Mr. Ricardo Salanap Jr. Current members of the guild namely Jalene Isabel Dumancas and Prezan Dioso together with the alumni namely Ms. Melchie Marie C. Mediadero, Ms. Win Therese Petalino, and Mr. Ylric Marc Jalando-on will represent the group in the said theater festival.
The KTG is scheduled to present Aningal: Echoes of Time this November 24. The play was performed last November 14 during the St. Augustine Festivities at the CSA-B Auditorium.
The Asian Youth Theater Festival is a platform for young theater artists across Asia to exchange cultural dialogues, immerse in various artistic engagements, and create a safe space among Asian theater practitioners and thespians.
