Our teachers embarked on a stimulating In-Service Training on “Nurturing the Whole Child: Strategies for Engaging Students , Building Character , and Utilizing Data for Success” from July 9 to 11, 2024.
This year-start In-Service Training explored strategies to engage students, foster character development, and leverage data for educational success.
Fr. Raymund Edsel Alcayaga, OSA, our esteemed Vice President for Augustinian Formation, kicked off the training with a session on “Engaging Students, Building Character: The Impact of Values Integration,” followed by Dr. Grace Marie David, Ph.D., our Guidance Director, who further empowered the educators through her session on “The Basic Skills in Psychological First Aid” respectively.
The Basic Education would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Phoenix Publishing House, Inc for providing the department outstanding speakers, namely: Dr. Ines Mallari who reignited the importance of questioning in modern classrooms with “The Forgotten Art of Questioning: Its Place in the 21st Century Classrooms“; Dr. Carlo B. Bejarasco who shared valuable insights on “Turning Data into Progress: Utilizing Assessment to Bridge the Learning Gap; and Mr. Albert Gutierrez who delivered a series of engaging sessions on “Differentiated Instruction Strategies,” “Managing Challenging Behaviors in the Post-Pandemic Classrooms,” and “Integrating Mindfulness Practice for Students’ Well-Being & Learning.”
The training also introduced Teachmint LMS, our new partner in propelling 21st-century learning.
Overall, this productive and engaging training has equipped our teachers with valuable tools to continuously provide a high-quality Catholic Augustinian education.
