The CSA-B Senior High School team, as one of the delegates of the Province of Negros Occidental, placed 2nd runnner-up in the recently concluded 7th National Wildlife Quiz held last November 27, 2023 at Ormoc City Superdome, Ormoc City, Province of Leyte. The Negros Occidental-CSA-B team consists of Kesha Alexis M. Madamesila and Adrian G. Guanzon and coached by Mr. Plaridel D. Tison, Jr.
The 36 competing teams came from the following regions and provinces: Apayao, Antique, Cebu, Caraga Region, Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, Eastern Visayas Region, Lanao del Norte, Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Palawan, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay.
The 7th National Wildlife Quiz was hosted by the City Government of Ormoc in collaboration with the Department of Education, Municipality of Burauen, DENR Region VIII, and PhilBio in partnership with the Energy Development Corporation, Foundation for the Philippine Environment, Philippine Eagle Foundation, Philippine Native Tree Enthusiasts Eastern Visayas, Eastern Visayas Tourism Association, NOMAD and several partner organizations. The event’s goal is to improve information dissemination, raise academic awareness, and foster biodiversity conservation networking.
